Gorgeous Parch, by Nirupam Roy

I along with my co-photographer Tamal Debnath were going to take some photos on the common kingfisher in our found out place. We were on our bike and I was ridding. We were talking ourselves; suddenly Tamal pressed my soldier to stop the bike. As I stopped, he pointed out this one, ‘The Whitebreast’. Though It is a very common one, but we were fascinated by its magical parching and watching of prey. It was larger than the other Whitebreasts. We had no hiding place there, so I went covering myself behind a tree. The shot was taken from a long distance. The sun light was clear. It is Tamal for whom such magic moment can be shared with you. Thanks Tamal once again.

Nirupam Roy is a school teacher by profession. His story of coming to the world of photography is quite fascinating. In one summer he planned a family trip to Orrisa, India. There he realized the necessity of a camera to capture the scenic beauty of the place surrounded by several sea-coasts. At the same time he wanted to photograph his family, especially his son Arkapravo, and bought his first camera Canon SX 40 HS. After returning home, he has fallen in love with photography passionately. Photography completely changes his whole attitude towards nature and human being. It gives him a sort of peace to his weary mind, as if a blessings from Almighty.
