Taxi Boat for School, by Shahnaz Parvin
In a country with large inland waterway networks, Bangladesh has more than 700 rivers and tributaries. And during the monsoons, this waterway network criss-crosses almost everywhere. I took this photograph during one of those times, when even going to school needed a taxi boat. These children told me, they love their school more than anything. They do not care if it’s raining or in the middle of summer or winter, they just want to fulfil their dream of getting an education. This taxi boat for school gives wings to that dream.
