Checkmate, by Sanak Roy Choudhury

In a cloudy afternoon, I ventured out in the city of Joy – Kolkata with my DSLR with the hope to get some interesting frames. My destination ended at the Nakhoda Masjid, which is the principal mosque of Kolkata, India. It is located at the Chitpur area of the Burrabazar business district in Central Kolkata, at the intersection of Zakariya Street and Rabindra Sarani. I chose to shoot some unique frames rather than concentrating on the magnificient contemporary architecture. The prayer arena provided me with this spectacular visual conformity and I freezed the moment in no times as I did not want the sleeping man to be awake!

Sanak Roy Choudhury works as an clinical optometrist and research assistant at a reputed eye hospital in Oman. He likes to travel around and invariably loves capturing any interesting situation under any given circumstances. Although he was never very serious about photography his interest gradually started to convert to a passion which resulted him to acquire a DSLR on sept 2012. His baby steps started since then and slowly and steadily he started to understand the domain of photography and managed to grow immense interest in the fascinating world of photography. Sanak loves to class himself as an amateur and always strives to attain perfection on whatever he captures.
Today he has achieved many small recognition’s and managed to win several photography contests but his desire to learn and explore more remains a hunger to be fulfilled. Sanak does regret today after exploring to this splendid domain for missing some vital opportunities in his yesteryear’s of travel.
