The Silent Valley, by Subhashish Nag Choudhury
In the east of Sikkim we got this nice view of Bidan Chu Lake, popularly known as the Elephant Lake because of the shape resembles of an elephant. This sector of Sikkim is blessed with three beautiful lakes, Bidhan Chu, Menmechu and Tsongo. Bidhan Chu comes first following the highway from Zuluk. It is located at Kupup (altitude: 13,500 ft), the highest village in this region, well-known transit point during the silk trade between India and Tibet. This lake is not very popular and frequently visited by tourist still I was really surprised after seeing its beauty specially the color of its water. It was taken at 10 in the morning. I just want to capture the colors variations used in this picture. Suddenly I saw this & clicked.
