A Life in Tranquility, by Ahmad Jaa
This photograph of a Muslim woman, her proper covering, according to the laws, not only gives the sense of submissiveness, but you can also sense the tranquility in her eyes. A Muslim woman, has more rights than any others. They are the most valuable being in a society, because not only they have the quality of motherhood, but also they seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT), and act as His trustee on this world, and do not try to gain fame or satisfy one’s own ego. The laws for covering a woman’s body is clearly mentioned in the last and the final revelation Quran “as order” in chapter 24:31, and its “benefit” in chapter 33. – “Let them cast their outer garments over their bodies. That is best in order that they be known and not harmed.” [Quran 33:59]
A true Muslim woman is also aware of the trap of western norms of clothing. Some might call it “Women’s Liberation,” which is more often a disguised form of exploitation of her body, deprivation of her honor and degradation of her soul.
This photograph is for honoring those who become submissive for a life in tranquility, and peace in their soul. Photograph was taken with her permission in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Ahmad Jaa, is an ordinary person who enjoys photography. He is not a pro and his works never been published or exhibited anywhere before. He shoots what he likes and what interest him. He loves chocolates. Just that only recently, sometime early this year he started to enjoy more and thus shooting more and more. The joy and fun in photography to his is the most important thing. Without the fun factor, photography will not be a fun thing and a happy hobby. With fun, one will be happy and enjoying them and this will keep them moving forward. He will keep on improving, experimenting and shooting and hopefully will be a better photographer.
