Preparing the Oil Lamp by Ravikumar Jambunathan
This is one of my favourites. This old lady was volunteering herself to prepare the oil lamp for the tourists and devotees to light them for their prayers. This is one of the old tradition being followed in Shey palace where devotees can offer their prayers by lighting the oil lamp. I was standing in the corner watching the rituals as this humble old lady approached the window to prepare the lamp.
