Puerto Anchorena by Sergio Veludo
I visited the Bariloche region in july of 2007. This region is astonished both in winter and summer. In a cold day, I woke up early to go out at 8 am. The temperature was 8 degrees below zero. I went to Puerto Pañuelo (opposite the Hotel Llao-Llao) and I boarded a catamaran named Cau Cau (in Mapuche means many seagulls). We sailed about half an hour by the lake Nahuel Huapi and we arrived in Puerto Anchorena on Victoria Island where we took a walk and I took this picture. I returned the boat and I went to the Peninsula Quetru Hue (red place in Mapuche) where I walked through the Arrayanes Woods. In this walk through the trails of the forest I had the opportunity to photograph these magnificent trees that are reddish and cold to the touch. Lovely place and a great opportunity for photographing.
