United Colors of World by Abhishek Asthana
This photo was taken in Hampi. A very small village in north Karnataka state, in India. Hampi is a UNESCO proteced World Heritage Site for its various monuments spread across the village and its surroundings. It is more popular for foreign tourists specially backpackers which is evident from the T-Shirt featuring Che Guevara! The shopkeeper even told me to buy one since ‘many foreigners buy it’!

Abhishek Asthana
Abhishek Asthana is a coder by profession, which lets me make sufficient money to buy a lens once in a while and sponsor my vacations. He started photography during his school days with a small manual camera which didn’t have flash. Later he started experimenting with monochrome films, since he didn’t have scanner or much idea about editing of photos this experiment was quite limited in nature. He took photography seriously only after leaving college and got his first digital camera, an Olympus FE10 which was followed by Sony DSC H7 super zoom. His first and only DSLR is Nikon D3000 with a recently bought Sigma 18-200 mm lens. He tried hand at bird photography (with a Nikon 80-400 mm lens) and quite enjoyed it too and He thinks He does not have any particular genre that he can tag his photography with but he enjoy shooting life, people and common everyday happenings around us most. Apart from photography he likes adventure activities, trekking and volunteering. He is co-founder of http://DonateYourPC.in, a website that lets people donate their old PCs/peripherals to charities/schools in India.
