The Escalator by Leanne Lindsay
On this day, in the middle of the COVID pandemic, there were very few people around. It was so surreal that I had to document it. There is a lone person at the top of the escalator who looked so small and lonely, when the escalator would normally be full of people going up and down, going about their business.

This photograph was taken in Sydney's Queen Victoria Building (QVB). I photographed it in monochrome. I love the lines that the architecture creates and how the image forces your eyes toward the magnificent clock.
