In the Old Town of Dresden, also called Hofkirche is a Baroque Catholic church. It is the largest church building in the federal state of Saxony. It has been the cathedral of the Dresden-Meißen diocese since 1980. The cathedral was built in 1739–1755 during the reign of the Elector of Saxony and King of Poland Friedrich August II.

The shooting date was 12/08/2019 during a trip to Berlin. This photo was taken with a tripod at the Altes Museum. The gentleman in the photograph is another photographer shooting freehand. All this took some time because there were a lot of people, but still the presence of the human figure in architecture photos adds a touch of street photography.

For me, looking through the viewfinder is looking into a magical world. In a world without color, in a world dominated by light, shadow and gray tones. Into the magical world of black and white photography. Black and white photography focuses on the essentials. It highlights the beauty of the subject. It stimulates the viewer's imagination. A black and white photograph sometimes expresses more than 1000 words can describe.
