Traditional Fishing Boats of Sabak, by Zain Abdullah

Sabak Beach in the state of Kelantan, Malaysia is famous for its traditional highly decorative and colourful fishing boats. This kind of fishing boats can only be found at Sabak Beach. The fishing boats have become subjects to various photographers, local and foreign ones. The fishing boats are normally anchored at the mouth of a river perhaps to be better protected against the monsoon and it is also where the fishermen do the cleaning and minor repair to their fishing boats. I didn’t waste the opportunity to capture this famous boats when I last visited Sabak Beach in June this year.
