Mozart’s Snowflake, by Bill Wilson
This picture was taken during a Meetup photoshoot in Austin, Texas. There is a small coffee place near downtown Austin that displays a large number of lights around the holidays. Several photographers got together and took pictures of the various lights at dusk. The lighting was good at this time of day to capture the lights, and I found a good angle to photograph this snowflake light. That night brought me back to a time in my life when it was magical.

Photo of the Day Award Category: Abstract Photography
Photograph Location: Austin, Texas | The United States
Photographer: Bill Wilson (Austin, Texas)
Bill is an artist. Photography is the most exciting way to demonstrate this to those around him. Recently relocated to Austin, Texas from Chicago, Illinois, he considers himself a Midwesterner through and through. Appreciation for the beauty around him and the enjoyment he gains from consistently taking up new challenges were the two motivations behind his initial foray into photography. As the interest turned into a hobby, Bill has taken different steps to develop his craft such as taking a summer course on photography and investing much time in learning new software. The journey will never be complete, though, and he is still learning new things every day. He hopes that his images can play a small role in helping others understand how awesome God is.
