Hyderabadi Biryani, by Lakshmi Prabhala

Hyderabad is famous for its Dum Biryani. It is a traditional celebration meal made using goat meat and rice, and is the staple of a die-hard Hyderabadi. The Hyderabadi Biryani is so named as it is created in the city of Hyderabad, India. The blending of mughlai and Telangana cuisines in the kitchens of the Nizam (ruler of the historic Hyderabad State), resulted in the creation of Hyderabadi Biryani.

Lakshmi Prabhala is totally taken in by photography as a medium. She believes, photography allows one to look at the world in totally different perspective, trains one’s eyes to see the world in better light and look for beauty in the most unexpected of places. It is indeed very surprising that so much can be learnt and understood about this world just by freezing a frame for a fraction of a second.
