Shadows and Light, by Minh Nghia Le
The photo is part of my project “.In Transit” which focuses on Singapore intertwined landscape. In such a small island, nature scenes have been combined with the modern cityscape in order to maintain the balance. There is no magnificent mountains, lakes or long beaches as ones often admire, but rather the intertwined land-scape of Singapore and the different races makes it so intrigued. Completed in 2012, the project can be viewed online at https://analox.jux.com/674710, pay it a visit, will you?

Minh Nghia Le and his wife Mai Phuong Duong are two Singapore-based photographers. Photography has nothing to do with their daily job but it has become their passion for years. His main interests currently are street photography and portraiture, which certainly have influences on his other work in travel and wedding photography. His favourite quote is: “Well, I don’t believe in photography as an art or a job or anything. I think of photography as a language and I think a language should be used to speak, to say what you have to say. So, the only things I have to say about my life and what I know about the world, is the way I see it.” – from Antoine d’Agata”
