Red Feast, by Ahmad Jaa

This is one of my early shots when I started nature macro photography. One thing that I should have done better was using a smaller aperture to increase the focusing area so that the ant biting the caterpillar would be in focus as well. Nevertheless, the striking nature themed color contrast and the decisive moment were simply amazing. The ants were sharing their meal together with no issue whatsoever and it does reflect my life- teamwork and togetherness. Being human, are we sharing things sincerely with an open heart?

Ahmad Jaa had found the fun and enjoyment of photography just recently in 2011, even though he had started somewhere around 2008. Although his main interest is in geometry, he shoots whatever that attracts him and does not restrict himself to a certain genre. His journey in photography is more about discovering himself. And by understanding himself, he was able to express more freely and sincerely. Since then, photography had open up a new perspective in his life. As a self taught photographer, he is continuously trying to improve and learning the ways to become better.
