Journey towards Salvation, by Sanjiban Ghosh
Each day hundreds of people reach Allahabad to take a dip in Triveni Sangam, the place in the riverbed where Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati rivers merge. A dip in the holy water here is believed to rid a person of the sins he/she has done in his life. The picture was taken in December 2013 when I visited Allahabad and went to Triveni to get rid of my sins also. The entire river bed is a chaos of pilgrims on boats and the seagulls flying around for food.
