Not just Cacti in Sonora, by Ana Sylvia Encinas
Even though there are some cacti that only grow in the Sonoran Desert, but we have several different types of vegetation in this deserted area. Here, many of them have evolved to have specialized adaptations to the desert climate. Its bi-seasonal rainfall pattern results in more plant species than in the other North America deserts.
