The Divine Eight, by Sanak Roy Choudhury
My family is involved in worshiping goddess Durga for several years and this frame depicts the eight containers, where Durga is bathed with different waters of the holy rivers in India. I captured this frame once my father, who happens to be the priest, arranged the containers before starting the rituals in a beautifully organized manner against the floor art.

Sanak Roy Choudhury works as an clinical optometrist and research assistant at a reputed eye hospital in Oman. He likes to travel around and invariably loves capturing any interesting situation under any given circumstances. Although he was never very serious about photography his interest gradually started to convert to a passion which resulted him to acquire a DSLR on sept 2012. His baby steps started since then and slowly and steadily he started to understand the domain of photography and managed to grow immense interest in the fascinating world of photography. Sanak loves to class himself as an amateur and always strives to attain perfection on whatever he captures.
Today he has achieved many small recognition’s and managed to win several photography contests but his desire to learn and explore more remains a hunger to be fulfilled. Sanak does regret today after exploring to this splendid domain for missing some vital opportunities in his yesteryear’s of travel.
