Light in Darkness, by Blair Horgan
This was taken with the local SES emergency services training night. Scenario was a collapsed building, here the volunteers were assessing the situation, basically searching for any victims, moving debris away. For me the Black & White makes the image stand out more. Its awesome watching these guys and girls in action. Very grateful for being allowed to spend time with them.

Started in Melbourne, Australia, Blair Horgan learned the basics from Rennie Ellis while on work experience, and caught the photography bug way back in 1991. Photography has always been in the background, just that his life got in the way. He has taken it up full-time, as life allows him time with photography, his family and his daughters love to pose, be part of what he does. He finds that he prefers capturing life as it happens, not posing for it.
