Birds, Sea, and the Fiery Sky, by Arindam Guptaray
It was an unusually cold day in San Diego. I had to force myself to go out and take some pictures of the sunset. I went to Fletcher’s Cove, a beach in Solana Beach, about a mile from where I live. The sunset was pretty ordinary, not a typical picturesque San Diego sunset. I was a bit disappointed. But about half hour after the sunset, magic started happening. The whole sky turned red. It was such a surreal sight. You have to be there to experience it. I could only capture the essence of it. As I was leaving I was humming the famous Deep Purple song “Smoke on the Water, Fire in the Sky”. Well, there was no smoke on the water, but definitely there was fire in the sky.
