Colorful Crab Shell, by Tisha Clinkenbeard
Walking along the beach in North Caicos (in the Turks and Caicos islands) there were colorful hermit crab shells all over the beach. This particular shell had beautiful contrasting colors and sprinkles of sand. The shells differed in their colors from neutral brown to tan and black and white. Some were subtle in their coloring as well. Each was a little live treasure hiding out under their shell waiting for the right time to travel along the beach.
