The Value of Money, by Liton Chowdhury
I took the photograph from Varanasi. The place is very well known as a holy place for hindu. I came to know from the person beside the girl that her mom left her in this place six month ago as she was an abnormal child. Now this sadhu and other people in the ghat take care of her. I gave 10 Rs to that sadhu, but he forwarded that money to the girl. The most surprising thing I found that for them the money doesn’t have any value; as one is abnormal and another left his social life in the search of God.

This photography tells a very touchy story which shows a very different approach to life we know and experience in our materialistic world. It is especially close for me because I had been in Varanasi and found this city one of the most influential for my personal photographic perception of the world around.
