Tea Break with Little Monks, by Naba Kumar Mondal
After a yearlong hectic corporate life, I decided to take a break and visit Tawang Monastery, the second largest monastery in the world. I arrived the Monastery at 6 o’clock in the morning to meditate at the holy place. There were more than 100 of little monks who were offering Morning Prayer. After the pray, they were given ‘Balep’ (Tibetan bread) from the Monastery. I was just wondering to see large pot, carried by each little monk. When asked, one of them replied that ‘Balep’ with ‘Po cha’ (Butter Tea) is the most popular breakfast for Tibetans.
