Snowed in by Roseanne Orim
I love mangoes. They are easily some of my favourite fruits. I thought to highlight the vibrant colour of this fruit I have grown to love so much by shooting it with one of the colours that I believe compliment it best: Black. I created this dessert (Mango and Blackberry Bars) drawing inspiration from the popular Lemon bars. I stacked the bars on each other because I got the inspiration from an Architecture piece I saw on Pinterest. To create the “snowed in” look, dusting some icing sugar while I took the shot was absolutely key in making this image.

Born and raised in Nigeria, and living on her own in England for over half a decade, Roseanne Orim is now living in Dubai. Her love affair with cooking and food in general began over a decade ago when in true Nigerian fashion, being a girl and all, was frequently summoned into the kitchen, standing over a pot of soup, stirring hawk-eyed until the meal was ready and the aroma diffused through the house. For years she has been experimenting in many ways through creating her own meals, sometimes involving a few friends who much to her delight were pleased with the results. As the years went on her love for cooking only deepened and that journey led to what is today “CHOP-BELLE-FULL” (pronounced Chop Bell-eh Full), Nigerian Pidgin English meaning for “Eating to Satiety” a food blog, which she has created to inspire others with the simplest dishes from the simplest ingredients. She invites everyone to come along with on her culinary journey as she raid through her kitchen cabinets and the streets of the various countries that she hopes to visit and indulges in all her culinary fantasies. And because sharing is caring, she regularly features bloggers and other people from the culinary industry, not without their dishes of course! She wants to celebrate food from all walks of life, the stories behind the origin of dishes and everything that makes up a diverse array of flavour palettes.
