By day Andrew R. Braley is a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Hawaii. However, in college he took an elective course in black and white photography, using real film and a dark room and learning the pre-digital way of film processing. He has always had an interest in photography but never really pursued it. Growing up in Hawaii he has been surrounded by beautiful landscape and photographic scenes his whole life but never taken full advantage of it. After going to college in Indiana, and then living in Florida for four years, his wife and he moved back to Hawaii in July 2009 and he has been trying to expand his knowledge and experience in photography as a real hobby. He started by purchasing a used Canon 20D with a Tamron F/2.8 35-105mm from a close friend who was upgrading his gear. He has recently purchased a used Canon EF-S 10-22mm from this same friend and really been enjoying the perks of a wide angle lens in this location. He is still learning and trying to define what his “style” is, but he is enjoying the process so far.
