Wait for The Green Light by Kristel Sturrus
It had been a few months since I moved to St Maarten. I fell in love with the nature, the life under the sea, the sunrise and the sunsets. Although I always said that sunsets are the most beautiful in Africa, The carribean sunset does not dissapoint either. just wait for the green light to appear.
Not Reading Poetry by Leanne Lindsay
This day I dedicated to taking some street photographs and one of my favourite places to go to watch people is the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. I found an installation I was intrigued with and placed myself as inconspicuously as possible, in the corner, watching people and waiting for something interesting to happen. I waited patiently for a while - maybe 1/2 an hour but nothing was happening. While waiting, I decided on a different approach and, not wanting to take a boring photo, decided to take a photo where the art installation was in focus but the people walking past were blurred. I set up my camera to take the shot I envisioned. I noticed this couple walking around, not really paying attention to the art and decided that if they walked past this artwork, I would take the photo. After some time, they walked past the art installation and as I had predicted, they didn't stop to contemplate the artwork, but walked straight past it. That's when I took the shot. It came out exactly as I had envisioned.
Stands with Regal Poise by Saniar Rahman Rahul
Perched on a dry tree branch in the heart of the Sundarbans, the Bar-winged Flycatcher Shrike stands with regal poise, its gaze fixed ahead, bathed in the warm morning sunlight.
