Breakfast in the Dark by Jasna Verčko
I wanted to show a traditional Slovenian breakfast which includes freshly homebaked bread, butter, and honey. I prepared a dark scene on wooden backdrop to show some rustic elements. I also showed myself in the photo to add a human element. A honey swirl is meant to emphasize the main ingredient.
A Pair of Starlings by Syed Asir Ha-Mim Brinto
A pair of Brahminy starlings sits in a dense forest. A soft golden light of late afternoon makes the whole picture quite vibrant. This species of starling is not very easily available in Bangladesh. Especially to have two starlings in such a frame is quite lucky. Among the starling family, this one is very beautiful.
Japanese Neighborhood by Juarez Malavazzi
The lomo camera resurfaced around the world at the end of the 1990s thanks to some Austrians who were crazy about analog photography. It was originally a Russian camera, but with the advent of the internet, it became available all over the world. I bought one and had a lot of fun on the streets of São Paulo. The small camera allows for spontaneous shots and the quality of the negatives gives the images a freshness that is unmistakable.
