Brighton Pier on a particularly cloudy and stormy day, I was alone on the pier eating my cheese and pickle sandwich that I usually have on my photography trips, when I saw through the wooden slats three guys walking from the back of the pier – what they were doing… I don’t know, but the bit of sun we had steaming through the clouds behind created a perfect backdrop for our silhouetted strangers…

Born in Surrey, living in Brighton. My photography journey started as a photorealistic portrait drawer. This is where is learnt the concepts of chiaroscuro, lighting and composition which then led me to take up photography and filmmaking which I could apply my previous knowledge into a different medium. I fell in love with the art form of photography, from the packing of my gear to finding the perfect spot, chasing the light and throughout the entire process of taking the actual photos and editing to match the image in my mind. I try to tell stories in my images as well as trying creating something beautiful, the moments we capture only happen once and that’s what makes it so special.
