This particular horse is a descendant of the horses owned by Mulla Mustafa Barzani, the founder of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. The story of the horse and its rider seems to be passed down from generation to generation, becoming part of their heritage.

Brighton Pier on a particularly cloudy and stormy day, I was alone on the pier eating my cheese and pickle sandwich that I usually have on my photography trips, when I saw through the wooden slats three guys walking from the back of the pier - what they were doing... I don't know, but the bit of sun we had steaming through the clouds behind created a perfect backdrop for our silhouetted strangers...
