Echoes of Simplicity: Village Market by Janhavi Khanzode
During a visit to the market while staying at my grandmother's house, I captured a photograph that, despite being taken without a professional camera, exceeded my expectations. What truly stands out about this image is how it beautifully encapsulates every facet of village life. Initially, I had doubts about the outcome, but the photograph turned out to be a perfect representation of the vibrant and authentic village experience, capturing the essence of simplicity and tradition with remarkable clarity.

A hijacking! I saw a photoshoot down on the beach, the 'sea fairy' was tentatively approaching the rather stormy sea while the sun was casting a great shadow perfectly demonstrating the 'chiaroscuro' that looks so good in B&W. (She was taken out a few minutes later by a nasty wave which cut the shoot short!)

Departure lounge at El Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt. That day, fog covered the tarmac, making arrivals and departures seem difficult. Visibility was no more than 10 meters, and many of us were worried about whether our planes would be able to take off. Additionally, there was the fear of traveling under such conditions.
