Older people have countless stories to tell. Visiting the elders of the family means opening up to an adventure in the past, enjoying the present and looking to the future with a clear conscience. Talking to older people helps to put certain moments in our lives into perspective, and to celebrate theirs. This photo captures the transmission of history from generation to generation.

I took this photo on a winter evening, in the center of the city where I live. The Christmas Fair had just started and the streets were crowded with people who were admiring the Christmas decorations or eating gingerbread. I was there with my parents and they offered to pose for me. The photo is a portrait of my mother and was done using one of the Christmas lights arrangements on the street.

In this brilliant event where all stars shine, I didn’t have the privilege to be in the first line, but I did the best of my knowledge by capturing the artist with all the crowd in front of my camera. I captured this photo with a 50-250 mm lens and a focal length of 250mm.
