Spring by Leanne Lindsay
My husband surprised me with the most stunning bouquet this particular afternoon! Gerberas filled the vase with bursts of color, and I knew I had to capture their beauty and I can't resist a little creative challenge!
Instead of the traditional vase shot, I decided to deconstruct the arrangement and play with individual blooms. Soft afternoon light streamed through the window, casting a soft glow on the delicate petals. I arranged them on a simple white background, letting the vibrant colors take center stage.
Focusing on individual flowers allowed me to capture the intricate details. It was a fun and creative way to appreciate the beauty of these blooms.
Sip of Daisies by Leanne Lindsay
My husband surprised me with a sweet little bunch of daisies this afternoon! Their cheerful faces always brighten my day, and I couldn't wait to get creative with them. Instead of a traditional vase arrangement, I decided to have some fun and capture their beauty in a unique way. This Coca-Cola can caught my eye - the bright red contrasted perfectly with the white daisy petals. I popped a simple arrangement in the can, tilting it slightly for a touch of whimsy. The vivid blue background added another pop of color, making the daisies the real stars of the show. Using natural light streaming through the window, I captured the soft texture of the daisy petals and the vibrant green center. This photo is a reminder that beauty can be found in the simplest things. A few daisies in a repurposed can - a touch of nature reclaiming something man-made. Even the most ordinary objects can be transformed into something creative with a little imagination.
Vietnam in Red by Laura Marchetti
I took this photo in the incense village of Quang Phu Cau, Vietnam, last April, when I was there on holiday. The incense is left to dry in bunches and has a deep red colour. Even though it was a cloudy day and it was raining a little, I managed to climb to a point high enough to compose the shot.
