It was an impromptu capture that I’ll never forget. I was exploring the narrow, winding alleyways of Jodhpur City, completely immersed in its vibrant colors and rich culture, when I chanced upon this chai seller.

The scene was perfect—the way the light filtered through the bustling market, casting a warm glow on the vendor’s face as he expertly brewed a pot of chai..

I instinctively reached for my camera, wanting to preserve this authentic moment of everyday life. The chai seller’s genuine smile and the atmosphere of the place truly encapsulated the essence of Jodhpur, making this photograph one of my favorites.

One of the keys to any style of photography is visualization. Please tell us how you started this process and what you did afterwards.

Shirren Lim

Visualization is key to my photography. It is the cornerstone of my creative process and the driving force behind many of my best shots. Sometimes, in a split moment, I see the image in my head with perfect clarity, even before I lift my camera. This mental picture guides me, allowing me to anticipate the right angles, the perfect lighting, and the most compelling composition.

In those brief, instinctive moments when an image crystallizes in my mind, I feel a surge of excitement and creativity.
It allows me to see the world with a unique perspective, always looking for that fleeting moment when everything aligns to create a beautiful, memorable photograph.
