Chicken Shawarma by Natalia Zotova
It is a shawarma - a wrap with chicken. I shot dishes for a restaurant in Koh Samui, Thailand. They invited me to shoot all the dishes for the menu. I spent 5 days shooting. I used natural light, reflectors, black panels, and a tripod. It was the most difficult dish to shoot because it didn't look well. But then I put some sauce and fried onion and colorful ingredients like tomatoes and zucchini. And use different angles and plans. so finally we got a few good pictures.
Vanilla and Pistachio Macarons by Leanne Lindsay
Who doesn't love French Macarons? I know I do, and I love baking them and photographing them, probably even more than I love eating them. This day, vanilla and pistachio were on the menu, and they didn't disappoint. The light in my apartment was perfect for food photography, so I spent the day in perfect bliss, taking many photographs of my macarons. I always feel at peace after baking and spending time with my camera - Heaven.
Flying Strawberries by Luca Corsetti
Image was taken in 2022 during an openday about the creative food photography. In that occasion i needed something simple but eyecatching so i used a nylon transparent string to pierce strawberries, with some rubber stopper to keep them in place and then suspended on the dish. after positioning 2 lights then just a click to achieve the shot, a bit post-production to image and here it is
