Aliens by Silvia Bukovac Gasevic
I just wanted to play photographing the items that I found at home that day. Peppers are not very interesting subjects to be photographed. The photo was taken with a Canon 20D camera 15 years ago, on a black paper background with the help of just one continuous light fixture.
Guilty Delight by Adriaan Pretorius
What is better than one slice of soft, moist Black forest cake? Two slices to share. There is nothing better spending time with a friend around a delicious slice of cake and coffee. What stood out while I was taking this photograph was how the different textures and colors made this single slice of cake in focus inspiring and interesting. So what better way than to take a bite and enjoy!
With a Touch of Swedishness by Adriaan Pretorius
I love bread. I love the whole process that goes with it from getting your hands all full of dough, watching it proof, how it rises to perfection in the oven and the smell that escapes when you take it out. Home made bread, or even from a good bakery, can go with anything. My choice for this photograph was to round it off with cream cheese and dill which gave it that bit of Swedish identity in the end.
