The Window Street Store by Karthick Saravanan
During the photo walk in the streets of Kannagi Nagar, Chennai, a government-contracted housing area near the seashore, I immersed myself in exploring the lives of its residents. Amidst the tightly-packed buildings, I stumbled upon a scene where a brother and sister were purchasing household items from a store located at an apartment window early in the morning. The girl's nostalgic glance towards the camera added a poignant touch to the moment.
Jaipur Dullnesss by Ryszard Wierzbicki
My Jaipur experience was exceptional. Together with my friend Tomek Rusak alias Larry we've met many individuals of various characters. Jaipur is known as the Pink City, which is delightfully landscaped in pink-hued buildings, shimmering lakes and ornate palaces. Every sunset, the city is bathed in golden rays that shimmer on the pink walls in a spectacle that is breath taking show of light and colours. Local people are very keen on posing for photo like models. This gentleman was ignoring our camera eyes by showing his exceptional dullness.
Capturing Silhouettes by Karthick Saravanan
Capturing silhouettes during sunrise requires positioning your subjects between the camera and the rising sun. This way, the light from the sun will be behind them, creating a striking contrast between the dark outlines of the subjects and the brightly lit background. Pay attention to the composition and positioning of your subjects to achieve the desired effect. I can imagine that the combination of the rocky landscape, the early morning light, and the silhouettes created a truly captivating atmosphere. If you have any photos or further details about your experience, I'd be glad to hear more about it!
