Barry Steven Greff is a Fine Art Photographer who constantly seeks new wilderness locales to memorialize the best Nature has to offer, and capture the Earth’s natural beauty in its most pristine state. While on location capturing ethereal sea and landscapes, he also makes close-up, intimate portraits of wildlife and jellyfish in his signature style. His work has earned numerous international awards in competitions juried by some of the most well-respected individuals in the photography community including principles from Sotheby’s, the Tate Gallery, Magnum Photos and Photo District News (PDN). Greff’s photograph Gold Standard, in the category of Nature Photography, scored a solid 74.5 (Value 13.5, Clarity 14, Composition 18.5, Style 14, and Skill 14.5) from our international jury of 5. The number of Tweets, Facebook shares, and StumbleUpon Organic Views boosted the popularity of the photograph, raising its score to 5.347 from social media (Facebook Share 1.06, Tweets 3.4, StumbleUpon Organic View 0.787, and Comments 0.1), and in total 79.847, the highest score in this competition for the 12th Month. The next nearest photograph was On Golden Pond. James L. Brown took this masterpiece, at the Marthaville Habitat Area located in Southern Ontario, Canada. James is a neophyte, mostly self-taught photographer that strives to bring out the beauty in simple things and subjects. Although he really likes gear, he believes vision is what really matters in photography. He hopes someday to use his photography to help those less fortunate in this world. Photograph On Golden Pond scored 75 (Value 13.5, Clarity 14.5, Composition 18.5, Style 14, and Skill 14.5) from our international jury of 5, and also obtains a solid position in the competition. Brown in the Photographer with Style section of the magazine, and the Exclusive Interview section on our website.For our 12h month, we had a head-to-head contest between the top scorers and the photographs that scored the highest became winners of the Photo of the Month. Our team decided to honor these top scorers as 2nd and 3rd places with a page in the next issue of our magazine, where the photographers will share their stories of these photographs. We will also publish their interviews in the Exclusive Interview section on our Web.

Ron te Burg is living in Nietap, a smal village in Drenthe which is a Province in The Netherlands. Ron started with photography in 1991. From the beginning of his photo career he was fascinated by the beauty of the landscape. The beautiful lines and color of the landscape are a great inspiration for him. Especially the low light landscapes, the moments just before sunrise and after sunset are his favorite.
