We will publish a special interview with Nilla Palmer in the Exclusive Interview section on our website.Based on the social media responses, awarded photographs received on the 49th month, we set the maximum number of Facebook Like at 400, Tweet at 100, Stumble at 1000, and our subscribers Comments at 50. For this month, we had a head-to-head contest between the top scorers and the photographs that scored the highest became winners of the Photo of the Month. Our team decided to honor these top scorers as 2nd and 3rd places with a page in the next issue of our magazine, where the photographers will share their stories of these photographs. We will also publish their interviews in the Exclusive Interview section on our Web. One can see the details of the score from this file. Shahnaz Parvin is an Award-Winning Photo Journalist. She is a passionate Bangalee, and resides in Bangladesh. Though she is doing a job as system admin in a PSI company, her real passion lays in photography and learning it. Shahnaz mostly loves documentary photography, and loves to represent her country Bangladesh through her lens. Shahnaz’s photograph About to Hunt, in the category of Portraiture Photography scored 69 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 17, Style 13, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5, and gains a good position in the competition. The number of Tweets and Facebook shares, StumbleUpon Organic Views boosted the popularity of the photograph a notch, raising its score to 4.0325 from social media (Facebook Share 2.33, Tweets 1.7, StumbleUpon Organic View 0.0025, and Comments 0), and in total 73.0325, the 2nd highest score in this competition for the 48th Month. Brave Cliff Divers Area, by Oscar Garcia
Oscar Garcia was born in Mexico City in the late 50’s, lived in Guadalajara, grew up in a large family of 7 kids. Married with a wonderful woman from the Northwestern Mexican state of Sonora, has three beautiful and intelligent children, all of them with a great eye for photography. He went to college in Mexico City to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering and fulfill his passion for Mineralogy, and earth sciences. Nevertheless, this passion for minerals is now just an expensive hobby for him. The family immigrated to the USA back in 1989 to work for an American manufacturer of petroleum equipment, same field Oscar has been ever since. Oscar’s photograph Brave Cliff Divers Area awarded in the Photo of the Day Award in the category of Travel Photography, as it scored a solid 68 (Value 13, Clarity 12.5, Composition 17.5, Style 12.5, Skill 12.5) from our international jury of 5. The number of Tweets, Facebook shares, and StumbleUpon Organic Views boosted the popularity of the photograph, raising its score to 4.1 from social media (Facebook Share 2.3, Tweets 1.8, StumbleUpon Organic View 0, and Comments 0), and in total 72.1, the 3rd highest score in this competition for the 49th Month.

Reflection of the Past, by Zahraa Al Hassani
Zahraa Al Hassani is a passionate photographer, and works as designer in Zain Telecommunications for more than 6 years. Graduating from the University of Technology Bagdad, her first job was at Wacther Company Ltd. as a graphic designer for constructions. A year later she joined Iraqi-American Chamber for Commerce and Industry. As senior graphic designer and photographer in Marketing Communication at Zain Telecommunications, she helps over submitting her consultancy to better enhance company image to be shown in elegant pattern. Zahraa’s photograph Reflection of the Past awarded in the Photo of the Day Award in the category of Still Life Photography, as it scored a solid 70 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 13, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5. The number of Tweets, Facebook shares, and StumbleUpon Organic Views boosted the popularity of the photograph, raising its score to 2.08 from social media (Facebook Share 1.18, Tweets 0.9, StumbleUpon Organic View 0, and Comments 0), and in total 72.08, the 4th highest score in this competition for the 49th Month.

As these two photograph’s scores are so close, we decided to award them as Photo of the Month – 49th Month, 3rd Place
