Born on 8th October, 1987, Ankush Kochhar loves nature a lot. He never imagined that someday he would hold a camera and start clicking. However, he can’t forget May of 2008, when he picked his first camera Sony DSC-T20. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, living in Toronto at the moment. Mazhar Hossain took photography as a hobby not long ago and is still learning. He got his first DSLR camera in December 2010, and since then he started discovering the magic of photography at another level. He loves shooting architecture, people, landscape and nature. Mazhar’s photograph New Year Fireworks, in the category of Night Photography scored 67.5 (Value 12, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 12, Skill 12.5) from our international jury of 5, and gains a good position in the competition. Karin Eibenberger (28) was born and raised in Waidhofen/Ybbs, Lower Austria. She has a Master’s Degree in Scandinavian and German literature and worked as freelance translator, tour and exhibition guide before she started her second career as Biomedical Engineer. Karin currently lives in Baltimore, US, where she works as research associate and Master Student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Karin’s photograph Salfeins Alm, in the category of Adventure Photography scored 69.5 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 13, Skill 12.5) from our international jury of 5, and gains a good position in the competition. She has a Master’s Degree in Scandinavian and German literature and worked as freelance translator, tour and exhibition guide before she started her second career as Biomedical Engineer. Karin currently lives in Baltimore, US, where she works as research associate and Master Student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Karin’s photograph Iceberg Bouldering awarded in the Photo of the Day Award in the category of Adventure Photography, as it scored a solid 68.5 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 12, Skill 12.5) from our international jury of 5.
