Born in Penang Island, Malaysia, in 1970, Shirren would find herself moving cities over the course of her life. She is now based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Shirren took up photography in 2009, as she thought it would be an interesting habit, later she discovered it as her true passion. Shirren loves portraitures best. To her, the expressions people wear are so beautiful, so telling, so uncovered in their sincerity. Claudio’s photograph Emperors on Abbey Road, in the category of Wildlife Photography scored a solid 72 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 19, Style 13, Skill 14) from our international jury of 5, and gains a good position in the competition. His passion is travel photography, but he is also interested in telling stories together with his photography for instance about human aspects in India concerning life conditions of its inhabitants, poverty in the cities and in the countryside and street children in the streets.
