Saniar Rahman Rahul was the first winner for ‘Photo of the Month Award’ in June 2010. He was fascinated by seeing his father taking pictures with a camera while his family was in Iraq during his childhood. Later in life, in 1997, while he became very much attached with his profession of ‘graphic design’, Rahul rediscovered the creative side of photography. He started his career as a professional graphic designer in October of 1995. Now he is working as the Art Director of Grey World Wide, one of the ten largest advertising agencies in the world. Saniar’s photograph Lesser Sand Plover awarded in the Photo of the Day Award in the category of Wildlife Photography, as it scored a solid 70 (Value 13, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 13, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5. The number of organic and total social share along with the organic reach and comments boosted the popularity of the photograph, raising its score to 8.025 from social media (Organic Share 3.01, Total Share 4.74, Organic Reach/View 0.275, and Comments 0), and in total 78.025, the highest score in this competition for the 79th Month. This photograph is the winner of Photograph of the Month – 79th Month, 1st Place.

We will publish a special interview with Saniar Rahman Rahul in the Exclusive Interview section on our website. Based on the social media responses and comments, awarded photographs received on the 79th month, we set the maximum number of Organic Social Share at 500, Total Social Share at 1000, Organic Reach 1000, and our subscribers Comments at 50. For this month, we had a head-to-head contest between the top scorers and the photographs that scored the highest became winners of the Photo of the Month. Born in Penang Island, Malaysia, in 1970, Shirren would find herself moving cities over the course of her life. She is now based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Shirren took up photography in 2009, as she thought it would be an interesting habit, later she discovered it as her true passion. Shirren loves portraitures best. To her, the expressions people wear are so beautiful, so telling, so uncovered in their sincerity. Shirren’s photograph The Other Novice Monk awarded in the Photo of the Day Award in the category of Portraiture Photography, as it scored a solid 69.5 (Value 12.5, Clarity 13, Composition 18, Style 13, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5. Born in Italy, Claudio now lives in Thornhill, Canada where he exercises his passion for photography. Over a career spanning three decades Claudio has delved into a number of photographic disciplines including: weddings, portraits, product, corporate and stock. His current focus is on travel, wildlife, nature and adding to his extensive stock library.
