Afnan Naser Chowdhury was passionately perused teaching in Virginia, and resides there. While doing his Bachelor’s degree from North South University he got inspired into photography. He has a keen interest in nature and in painting from his childhood. Afnan loves getting geeky, especially about iPhone and iPad, and looks forward to meeting as many Light and Composition readers as possible from NYC. Annecy Le Thiou Floodgate, by Ola Cedell
Born in southern Sweden in 1969, Ola Cedell moved to Melbourne Australia in 1996, then to Aachen Germany in 2001, and returned back to southern Sweden in 2003. Food has been a big part of Cedell’s life, as he always enjoys tasting and trying new things. Besides his engineering career, he has been enjoying amateur photography since 1996. Ola’s photograph Annecy Le Thiou Floodgate, in the category of Motion Photography scored a solid 67.5 (Value 12.5, Clarity 12.5, Composition 17.5, Style 12, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5. The number of organic and total social share along with the organic reach and comments boosted the popularity of the photograph, raising its score to 8.7 from social media (Organic Share 3.6, Total Share 4.4, Organic Reach/View 0.7, and Comments 0), and in total 77.2, the second highest score in this competition for the 85th Month. The Girl by the Road, by Ryszard Wierzbicki
Ryszard Wierzbicki was born in 1963. Graduated with a Master degree of Social Sciences in Children Care Education from University of Gdańsk in 1992 in Poland. He worked in an orphanage and four other companies, going through positions of Educator, Marketing Specialist and Sales & Marketing Manager in various branches (child care, dentistry, orthodontics and IT). Apart of his regular jobs he continued developing his Scuba Diving qualification resulted of an instructor level in PADI. Emigrated to UK in 2006, from where he started his real traveling & photography experience and exploration of South-East Asia. Ryszard’s photograph The Girl by the Road, in the category of Candid Photography scored a solid 68 (Value 12, Clarity 12, Composition 18, Style 13, Skill 13) from our international jury of 5.
