John Hughes is a young film maker and photographer from Baltinglass, County Wicklow (Ireland). He gained recognition from his work over the covid lockdown while taking eerie/gothic photos of the empty streets, captivating the ghostly atmosphere of his hometown and local areas. In early 2023, John held his first photography exhibition in Baltinglass library. A week after this he began production of his most ambitious project “The Fuel Of Youth”, a small feature film about coping with mental illness.
