Tisha Clinkenbeard

Photography captured Tisha years ago before we had the digital wonders for cameras. She became more serious with her hobby after she received a camera for Mother’s Day in 2010. Nature, travel and some still life photos make up most of Tisha’s portfolio. Since she and her husband do travel often and spend as much time outdoors as possible she has a lot to work with! Life offers many opportunities to capture the things she sees as she wanders this earth – usually adventures with her husband. Her goal is to share what she finds Round & About – which was the inspiration for her photo blog: foundroundandabout.com. Tisha’s works have been in exhibits at The Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs, AR, Black Box Gallery in Portland, OR, ART120 in Taylor, TX, ArtSpace in Round Rock, TX, Georgetown Art Center in Georgetown, TX and at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Two of her photos appeared in the Birds & Blooms monthly online newsletter – April and December of 2011. She was recently interviewed for “An Artist Speaks” on BlogTalk radio as part of the Featured Artist series. You can listen to the interview here. So far, 61 of Tisha’s photos have been Photo of the Day in Light & Composition online magazine as well as a photo, “Alaskan Reflection” as 1st place photo of the month, 66th month, as well as “Snowy Pond” 3rd place for the same month, “Fishing Reflection” for 2nd place photo of the month, 50th month, “Spring Lily” for 2nd place for photo of the month, 47th month, and “Grasshopper in the Rain” for 3rd place photo of the month, 60th month. Tisha has had photos place in the Contemporary Art Gallery online competitions: “After the Shower” – first in Photography in the Botanicals 2015 competition, “Alaskan Reflection”, first in Photography in the Landscapes 2015 competition, “Bird, Beach & Clouds”, placing fifth in Photography in the Women’s Only 2015 competition, “Florence Street” – third in Photography in the Cityscapes 2015 competition, and “Fishing Reflection” placing fourth in Photography in the Portraits 2016 competition. In the Light, Space and Time CityScapes Art competition 2017 her photo “Tower of the Americas” earned a Special Merit and “Seattle Downtown with Fireboat” earned a Special Recognition. In the Botanicals competition 2015 her photo “Sophistication” earned a Special Merit award. Her hope is that you find a photo that captures you, take it home and let it take you away. Enjoy!

Simran Nanwani

Simran is an Entrepreneur of a small business called Seni Home and passionate photographer from Jakarta, Indonesia. Her styles vary depending on the moment and what inspires her to be creative. Born and brought up in Jakarta, Indonesia, Simran grew up with her parents and graduated from a Local International High School. She further pursued a Chartered Accounting Course(ACCA) in Singapore for 3(three) years. She started her own online business called Seni Home, in 2011, selling handicraft products made in Indonesia. She started developing a keen interest in Photography, after she was gifted her first digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix, in June 2007. In 2010, she took up a one day short course of Basic Photography which was conducted by an experienced photographer named Ross Deverson. She learned the basic tips and techniques of Photography. The interest turned into passion when she bought her iPhone. She started clicking pictures everywhere and of everything that caught her attention. They say practice makes perfect, and although she has a long way to perfection she has learned a lot and also gained more exposure through apps like Instagram. After getting herself a semi-pro camera – Canon Powershot G12 she has broadened her experience in exploring new techniques with macros, angles and clarity of shot. She enjoys capturing colors, architecture, people, nature, macro, and landscapes. She likes using her gears, as each of them gives its own personal satisfaction. When creating and sharing her work she often prefers to keep it simple by doing minor edits. Currently, she does not have specific plans for future. She would love to be featured in magazines like National Geographic or any other photography Magazine. She might add this passion to her current home business in future. Her definition of Photography would be not about clicking and sharing moments, but admiring the beauty of the Universe and interpreting it in ways that keep inspiring us to keep clicking.
