Li Wentao was born in September 1968 in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, China. He is a construction engineer who loves photography and studied photography at the China Photography Correspondence Institute in 1988. He is a member of the China Photographers Association and is currently the vice chairman and deputy secretary general of the Liaoyang Photographers Association. He is fascinated by the landscape of man-made change, mainly through the way industry changes nature. His purpose is to observe, document and ultimately understand why we cultivate our environment in our way.
