The novice monks occupy a separate building on the other side of the road and they are responsible for cleaning the environment around the monastery complex. Catching close contact with young novice monks is very difficult because of their limitations and restrictions in contact with the lay world.

This photo of a Man & His Hat was taken as part of a study of light, particularly Portrait Light and shot in camera in monochrome. I had to try several different lighting set-ups before I achieved the exact lighting I was after.
