A Weaver Girl
This candid photograph is clear from foreground to background, shows a weaver girl labouring, not far from a road. The girl sits on the ground, with her legs partly cover with long leaves. She holds a cutter on one hand, and uses both hands to work on the leaf. Perhaps she is being attracted by some happening on her right, and turns to have a better view. She is helper of an adult, perhaps her mother. Children in rural area sometimes start laboring at an early age.
This photograph was taken by Ryszard Wierzbicki, with much detail of the weaver girl’s labouring environment.
