An Honest Mirror

The most honest reflection lies in the eyes of best friend. You can escape the mirror, they won’t talk back. You can escape the person living in the mirror, escape their questions and worries. You can escape every other person in your life- your parents, siblings, friends, shut them up with some lame excuse, or some cock and bull stories. Then there is this one in your life, your best friend, who stuck by you through thick or thin, who knows you better than anyone, who might even be the one to made up all the stories for you, who knows your every laughter, every tear, your deepest darkest fear and everything in between and they look at you, you see your reflection in their eyes, nowhere to hide, no way to escape. That is you in your naked truth. The photograph by Daniele Lembo reminded me of the most honest mirror.
