For the Love and Cooperation

In the life of a Muslim, a Masjid (mosque) has a great importance. It has also a greater impact in a Muslim society. Here, a Muslim rekindles his spirituality, strengthens his relationship with one and only Creator, Allah, the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns’ and all that exists). Here he/she meets their fellow Muslim brothers/sisters, and renews the sense of belonging. The role of the Masjid is not to amass people and make it crowded. It is meant to encourage people to interact with each other on a basis of love and cooperation. Here they pray in congregation, stand shoulder-to-shoulder, regardless of rich or poor, removing the false pride from one’s heart, and seeking only the pleasure of one true Almighty, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds. So it is no wonder the Muslims, while building mosques cares a great deal about its architecture.

Beyond the Elegant Architecture

This photo of As-Shariff Masjid from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia captured not only the elegant architecture of the structure but also present us with its vibrant yellow coat of paint against the deep blue sky in the early morning. The contrast between deep blue sky and the white cloud captured by Photographer Mat Zain Abdullah (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), not only overwhelmed us but also evokes serenity in the mind. Tell us about your thoughts…
