If I Could Live That Life Again

I was looking at this photograph and the memories came flooding back. For quite some time, I was lost in time. Time…if only someone could hold it for me; not only time, but my times, my friends. Memories and places, those kids I grew up with, if only I could live that life again, with all my childhood friends. You know once I wanted to write a book, about our friends and our crazy days…and of course, it would be my version of the story. Reading those stories now, some of my childhood friends would faint. Although, it is my story and with pen in hand, I can deliver it as I please. Seriously, they were such mad days. You were never afraid of hearing your own voice. You never had to worry about what others thought. Those treasured moments you lived helped define the person you are today. You always cherish those memories and friends.

This photo taken by photographer Yasuteru Kasano (Wakayama, Japan) of jubilant kids makes me turn my back on reality and dive right back into those brilliant childhood memories. The interesting thing is that even when looking at these children of Cuzco (Peru), we can relate to our own childhood. This just proves that children from any part of the world and at any age, form the same fathomable and wonderful bonds between each other, whilst distributing the joys and happiness universally.
